What we do here.
I'm Antonio. I've been practising massage since 1995 and I opened The Workshop in 2011. The spa offers a small number of established treatments, given by a small team of trained therapists in private rooms.
Sessions are unhurried, with a buffer between bookings so the end isn't rushed. The setting is clean rooms, warm towels, sauna and showers included, plain unscented oil. There's more about how I think about the work, naturism in general, and the years that led to it in the blog.
The treatments.
Five main treatments are offered here. Each has its own page with the detail, but the short version is below. If you're not sure which to book, the phone is the easiest way; we're appointment-only and a short conversation usually settles it.
Full body massage
The standard session and where most first-timers start. Every part of the body attended to in one continuous flow, no fixed sequence, the work moving from one area to the next without breaks. The naturist setting earns its keep here because the work doesn't pause for towel adjustments.
Swedish & deep tissue
For when you've come in with something specific to work on. Shoulders that won't drop, a lower back that's been tight for a fortnight, recovery from training. The session is shaped around that area, with deeper pressure where the muscle wants it. The rest of the body still gets included.
Tantric massage
The slowest of the treatments. Long, even strokes with plenty of time held in stillness. Best given 90 minutes or more. Worth knowing in advance: the slower pace tends to surface what the body has been holding, and people sometimes find old feelings coming up. For most that's a relief.
Four-handed massage
Two therapists working on one client at the same time. The mind tends to stop tracking which hand is where, and the work goes deeper for it. Available with two female therapists, or with one female and one male (me, Antonio). Tantric version available at 45 and 60 minutes.
Couples massage
For two of you in the same room, each with your own therapist working separately. Available as a standard couples session or as the slower tantric variant. Separate rooms are also possible if you'd prefer that.
